Thanks again Blake for another very informative presentation and Have a Happy New Year!
Another great colour lesson, Blake. Happy New Year to you and your family. This membership is terrific value for money!
The word Magenta does not necessarily have happy associations. I was told by our history teacher, circa 1962, that the name arose from the blood-soaked battlefield of the town of Magenta during the Second Italian War of 1859 (see https://www.sensationalcolor.com/origin-of-the-word-magenta/), either the colour of blood itself (as our history teacher thought) or of the French uniforms. Surprising then to see its current association with peace and harmony!
Nonetheless, interesting to read of its use in colour grading; new to me. I’ll be sure to try it on some of my sunsets.
Dog gone Blake that was top notch. I even learnt a few things that weren’t actually part of the tutorial.
And that last image you used to demonstrate global colour grading, that was awesome. I would have to say, it’s my favourite of all your images that I’ve seen to date.
I think I’m going to have to watch that tutorial again, maybe I missed something!
Then I’m going to have to revisit some of my own sunsets and see the difference the colour Magenta can make. Have an awesome 2023.
Fantastic, Blake. Magenta all the way.
