Coming To Kansas City in May!
I have been blogging about HDR Photography for just about 4 and a half years. I have put in thousands of long hours and thought about exposure brackets for entirely too long.
When I started this my number one goal was to become a ‘Photoshop Guy’ for Scott Kelby’s company. I was dead set on that, hoping that one day there would be an opening and all of my hard work would land me that position. That opportunity never presented itself, not because I applied and didn’t get the position, the position just hasn’t been open since I started.
Now, when I look back on everything, I realize I have created that position for myself within my own company. I may not have the label ‘Photoshop Guy’, but I am starting to do everything I wanted for someone else for myself (read that sentence 4 times, it’ll tangle you up).
I always wanted to put on a seminar for HDR photography and share my wealth of knowledge on the topic.
I am very proud to announce that my first seminar will be here in Kansas City (where I currently call home). My wife and I have been on full tilt these last few months preparing all of the front end ‘stuff’ to ensure everything on the back end works out accordingly.
We found an excellent conference center for the venue, the University of Kansas, and are crossing all the t’s and dotting all the i’s. It is a ton of work to do this by yourself, I know I tried. My wife has been an invaluable asset to the seminar. She found a great cafe to cater lunch, she’s contacting vendors all over Kansas City, and she supports this 100%. She is incredible!
So if you are in the Kansas City area on May 16th 2015, you don’t want to miss this event. It is going to be an all day seminar event from 8 am – 4 pm and we are going to tackle everything about HDR Photography all in one day! This is going to be intense!
I just want to say thank you to all of the readers of EverydayHDR. Without you and your continual support this would not be possible. Through your product purchases and your cordial morale boosting feedback, you have provided me with the confidence I need to pursue my passion. I cannot thank you enough.

Man! Wish I wasnt going to be at the beach that weekend! Anyway, whenever the RAPABYVA Rocks shirts are available let me know!
Oooh lucky you!!! I like the RAPABYVA abbreviation 🙂
Blake, will you be presenting this seminar anywhere on the east coast?
Thank You.
Not sure. This is a ton of work here in my home town. Without a big team working on this, I am not sure if I can make it travel yet.
I had hoped the day would come when you would start doing seminars. Do you have any plans to do one in the Southwest?
I would love to, but I don’t think it will happen anytime soon. I will have to see how this test subject works first. I have a lot of local groups helping me here to get this kick started. I will have to use this as my guinea pig!
Blake, Keep talking about this Master Class (unless it’s already full). Right now, I’m not sure I can make it, but as we get closer to the dates, I may find a way to attend. My first thought was no way can I attend, now I’m thinking about “how to make a way” to attend. I’m sure it will be awesome and mind blowing!
