An in-depth look at Yosemite National Park
During this (recorded) Live Event, I will take you on a photo Tour of Yosemite. We went to the park in May with a truly talented group of photographers with Shutter Click Adventures. It was a great trip, but it required a lot of long days, long hours and short nights of sleep. It was a landscape photographer’s paradise and we enjoyed every waking minute of it.
With any Shutter Click Adventures trip, you are sure to have your bellies and your brains full by the time we take you back to the airport. This trip to Yosemite in May was no different. We played hard and worked even harder. Our days were packed to the brim with activities, but it was manageable and structured. Below you will see a basic idea of how every day was structured. We stuck pretty close to the plan with the only real exception being Day 4 where we took the morning off to do a full day of Post Processing and one on one instruction.
As you can see, we stack the workshops pretty thick with content, but it is manageable. There is time to shoot, time to eat and time to learn, lots of time to learn! Because we live in a condo type environment, there is plenty of time for one on one interaction and group inspiration discussion.
In the Live Event, I talk all about our days, the good, the bad, and the downright fun (it also helps that the park is gorgeous). I was elated to walk through the park in Ansel’s footsteps and teach the Zone Systems in the back yard of Yosemite National Park. Enjoy the recorded event, there is more content in it than I could begin to write here!
Yosemite 2017
Join us in May of 2017 for the next Yosemite Workshop. If it is anything like our 2016 Workshop, it will be epic!
Hi Blake:
We spent more than a week hiking the trails and pathways of Yosemite this past June and you are right, it is almost beyond description. There were so many photo opportunities that I started a personal project, Year of Yosemite through which I am posting 365 different pictures that I took on that trip. It can be seen here – http://jbrish.com/category/year-of-pictures-from-yosemite-2016/ I am up to day 34. Thank you for sharing this magnificent venue!
I love your chatterbox …. does it stop when you fall asleep?
are you never get tired of that? …. But back to this reading:
Yosemite is beautiful and very well articulated by you …
asif I was there!
thanks for sharing
Netherlands is too far, otherwise I would go with you
Haha, it never stops. It stops when I sleep but turns into the most vivid of dreams!
Blake,
Your trip to Yosemite is very enticing. I went to Big Sur, etc. with a photo group last year. Had a nice time, but felt it wasn’t as thought out as it should have been or as educational as I had wished.
Questions:
1. I already purchased the Zone System. Do you ever do one on one training? I think I need some.
2. I love doing photo restoration and know full well that there are many things I could learn from you to improve my workflow. Any thoughts?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
