So as you know if you follow my blog, the wife and I up-rooted to the Mid West, Platte City Missouri to be exact. I took a job at the Guard base out here to get closer to the family and to raise my boy in an environment that would be more wholesome and kid friendly than the Bay Area of California. I thought I was going to have a difficult time finding things to HDR, but as it turns out, your surroundings are what you make them. I was so stuck on the California coast like what you see here:
But as it iturns out, there are coast lines everywhere! Like the coast line of the flood plains in Plattsmouth Nebraska, my wife’s home town.
To every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. I don’t think I will have a hard time finding content to photograph out here. I have always wanted to do a HDR series of “Things That Work” like tractors, back hoes, trains and road construction equipment. There is a plethora of that stuff out here, and very cool ones at that. Like this Asphalt Layer we saw in Nebraska, it looks like a monolithic work of mass destruction in HDR.
I don’t think I am going to mind it out here after all. There is always something out there just dying to be photographed. It’s the Mid-West’s turn!!!
