No more bland-looking eyes! I’m going to teach you how to use Gradients in Photoshop to make AMAZING-looking eyes. The eyes are the most important object to get dialed in in portrait and wildlife photography. We ensure we nail the focus on the eye when we are shooting, but why does our focus have to stop in the camera?
I’ll show you how to get your viewer sucked right into any portrait or wildlife image using gradients in Photoshop. I’ve included 20 handcrafted eye gradients and a PDF in the link below. Enjoy!

Hello Blake
Just another incredible course! That will make post processing for portrets a lot easier! And the eyes will shine as never before :-)!
Thank you so much for sharing, not only your outstanding knowledge, but also for that bunch of gradients we can start with.
You’re shining friend,
Robert
It is my sincere pleasure! Enjoy 🙂
Thank you Blake for thistutorial and attached ressources !
Have a good week-end !
Rudis, you are the best!! Thank you!
WOW
Simple, great presentation. Very inspiring how AI technology can be used creatively
Blake
Thanks for the help on eyes. I have retouched eyes for years and never seen a method I like so much.
What’s the difference in using the Object selection tool vs the lasso tool?Either way, you’re still clicking to create a mask to do additional work.
The object selection tool actually selects the object without you having to do the work. With the lasso tool you’d have to make the perfect precise selection. At the end of the day, its up to you and how much you value your time, lol 😉
Another gem! Thankyou Blake
I don’t do much portrait or animal photography, but am definitely looking forward to using this at some point. What a difference this technique makes!
Love, Love, Love this!!
Thank you Blake, so goo as always!
Excellent info. Thanx Blake
Keep going where no photo editor has gone before.
You’ve done it again, Blake. I’m so glad I’m a member of f.64 Elite!
