Everyday at work I get a rash of crap for my vegan lunch. It includes a Boca Burger (or black bean burger), a small bag of pretzels and an apple. I eat it everyday and I love it, simple, not too filling and I am an energetic powerhouse after lunch instead of slow and sluggish.
By no means have we jumped on the vegan ship completely. We are what I like to call “Hybrid Vegans”. We eat meat on occasion, more like a treat than a three times a day occurrence. I still have to throw-down a massive turkey on Thanksgiving and a giant ham on Easter! We also indulge when we go out to eat or go to a friends house. I would say we went from eating meat 2-3 times a day to maybe eating it 2-3 times a month.
Yes that includes all dairy products as well! However, as I stated above, we are “Hybrid Vegans”. We have the occasional dairy filled cupcake here and there or splurge on a pizza every once in a while.
Regardless of our dietary decision I hear things like, “How do you get enough protein to sustain muscle mass?”. My response, “Look at the gorilla! That is one big-ass vegan!”
I totally agree with you, Blake Rudis! Also, that is not the only Big Vegan Animal…take a look at the Elephant, Hippopotamus and etc. It’s an Amazing Fact that some of the biggest animals are Vegan. And not only that, some of them have canine teeth which doesn’t mean that was for eating meat…it’s totally a MYTH. Okay, I like my Steak well done! lol. It’s okay in God’s word in the book of Leviticus. ;D Have a great day!
It is amazing how those animals get so big on a Vegan diet. Interesting that they have canines too.
