How often have I heard the worst things about Photoshop and its implications that it’s ruining Photography? I guess being an educator in this space, I am subject to the microscope, and therefore I see a lot and maybe even sometimes get attacked a bit for what I do. I get it. It comes with the nature of the job. I have been dying to produce this video for some time but was apprehensive until yesterday.

I was on the phone with Matt K, and I said, “Man, I really want to do this video calling out the perspective that Photoshop is ruining Photography, but people expect a different type of video from us.”

Matt K:  Do it.

Me: It’s not that easy.

Matt K: Yes, it is… do it.

The last time Matt K told me to do something with very little explanation other than “do it” was when I asked him if I should start a blog in 2010, and we know how that went! So I did it.

I put together this video about Photoshop and its inherent effects on Photography. Yeah, the title may be a little clickbait-ish, but it serves a purpose.
