The Color Blend Mode can be extremely powerful
The Color Blend Mode in Photoshop has slowly become my new favorite toy. I am using it in many more ways than I ever imagined and today I will show you how. If you consult with the Adobe help page, you will find the definition for all of the Blend Modes to include Color. The basic idea behind the color blend mode is that it allows the tones from the layers below to show through the solid color. This will leave you with monochromatic images if you are using a solid color fill as your color mode layer. It has many more practical applications that we will get into shortly.
