Do you really know how to use the Crop Tool?

Crop Tool Features

The Crop Tool may not be the sexiest tool in Photoshop.  In reality it is quite boring!  It doesn’t do much but make your image smaller or in some cases larger right?

That’s not the case.  The Crop Tool will not make your images phenomenal with Color Grading and High Contrast Glory, but it could be the difference between an okay composition and a phenomenal one!

The Crop Tool has a lot of useful features in it that many people overlook.  Often times this happens subliminally by the way we read.  Hear me out.

We tend to read from left to right and we end up using our tools the same way.  In this tutorial we will breakdown the Crop Tool from left to right to ensure we don’t miss a thing!  We will cover some things you already know and we will look at some things you never knew were possible with a tool so simple.

Main Tutorial Highlights:

  1. The many ways to crop
  2. How to crop and maintain aspect ratio
  3. How to use the settings to personalize your cropping experience
  4. How to change the composition guides
  5. how to rotate composition guides
  6. How to straighten an image
  7. how to crop for a specific print size
  8. How to crop from the center of the crop tool

Hold on to your knickers, this is one wild ride and an epic adventure through the crop tool!  I am trying really hard to make this as exciting as possible 🙂  No really, I think there may be some very important aspects you are missing with the Crop Tool.  This is valuable information all joking aside.
