I have a disturbing fascination with Bicentennial Quarters.  I have no idea why but for some reason I get really flustered when I see one.  It sucks sometimes.  For instance, if I need quarters for laundry and I have exactly 3 dollars and need all of those quarters to wash a load and a Bicentennial falls out of the bill changer, I can’t use it for laundry.  Something won’t let me, I have to save it.  At this point I have filled one whole roll of quarters and am half way to completing another one.  My father gave me one when I was a child and to this day I assume that’s where the fascination came from.

Last night I was putting my amateur coin collection in bags and tubes, I say amateur because I collect what I think looks cool and not what is worth anything, and thought maybe I should HDR the little drummer boy on the Bicentennial.  I busted out the handy dandy make shift Macro Extension Tube and went to town!

Happy Memorial Day everyone, remember to pay homage to those who have so valiantly fought for this country giving their life to ensure our freedom.
