Growing up is interesting, because if you forget about it it really sneeks up on you.  When I was 12 I couldn’t wait to grow up.  I dreamed of having a wife, a house, a decent job, and 1.2 kids.  I must have been stuck on that dream for about 7 years, then I went to college and I forgot about that dream for a while (the mass amounts of beer probably didn’t help). Today, I wake up and I am living it (well not the 1.2 kids, that’s kinda hard to do, have two tenths of a kid that is).

Where does the time go, you know where it is going when you are in it, but when you look back it’s gone.  When I was a child, life went by so slow, now it is in warp speed.  Does that mean that in 20 more years my wife and I will be travelling at ludicrous speed?  When I was 12 I helped put up my parents Christmas tree, when they wanted to, how they wanted to.  Yesterday I put up my families Christmas tree, when I wanted to, how I wanted to (well pretty close anyway, I follow orders pretty well from the wife).  Regardless of where the time went, I am grateful beyond words it went the way it did.  There is something to be said about having our own family, our own fire place, our own Christmas Tree, our own home… That is until another faucet leaks…

Our home, our fireplace, our Christmas Tree

A quick little HDR of our living room and fireplace.  I did the Old Photograph treatment on it from last Friday’s tutorial.
