Today I am going to show you a break through method of texturing an image with a couple of other tips and tricks of course.  I call this method “Break-Through” because I have never seen it before and it has some serious potential for texturing images.  From here on out, I want the world to know, this method will be coined Rudis Texturing… Well, maybe not, but that would be nice!

The Pixel Bender Gallery is a pretty awesome tool, click on the link to install it to your Photoshop and start using it in your workflow.  I always have to remind myself that this is a global filter and that I should use it sparingly!  Hence the reason I only used it on the background.  I use it as an element in post processing, but not as a stand alone, one-click fix.

f.64 Academy and f.64 Elite are the brainchildren of Blake Rudis. While he is a landscape photographer he is most passionate about post-processing images in Photoshop and mentoring others.

For Blake, it is less about the art and more about the process. He dives deep into difficult topics and makes them easy to understand through his outside the box thinking.
