So my show is today, it is at The Cashew in Kansas City on 2000 Grand Ave if you are in the area.  They have a great reception area that is just immaculate for showing work.  I am stoked!

One of the pieces I am showing is a great example of the 4th step in my Creative HDR Process:

  1. Good Brackets
  2. Mild Tone Mapping
  3. Post Processing
  4. Creative Post Processing

This is one of my favorite pieces, probably because I know everything that went into it from beginning to end.  Another reason, I love the highlight blowout rays that help accentuate the explosion tree branches.

This effect is actually pretty easy to accomplish in Photoshop without the use of expensive plug-ins.  It requires a few advanced techniques, but if you follow along you will do just fine!
