Photoshop CC 32 bit HDR Workflow

Photoshop CC made a couple of changes to the 32 bit Merge to HDR Pro process that I think may be pretty advantageous to your workflow.  Instead of pressing okay and receiving a 32 bit image in Photoshop after “Merge to HDR Pro” it now has you go straight into Adobe Camera Raw.  It cuts out the middle man as we all pretty much brought that file into ACR anyway.  It mitigates having to save the intermediary 32 bit file and manually bring it into ACR.

Due to these changes, I have modified my 32 bit workflow to accommodate the new process.  Check it out if it is something that interests you.  I know I was pretty stoked!

      Great video as I’m just started to do HDR. Your workflow really makes sense compared to others I have tried.

      One problem, I work in ProPhoto RGB but no matter how I do the 32 bit to 16 bit conversion the metadata for the converted file shows it as sRGB. How do I get it to stay in ProPhoto?

      Believe it or not, 3 years later, I happened across your excellent video. I was frustrated trying to go from Br’s tools, which worked fine into Ps, but could not get back to ACR in the new Ps CC for 32bit. Following your directions worked. Thank you.
