Today’s tutorial is a quick look at the new features within Photoshop CC and a couple of pointers on how to set yours up for success. Your Presets will transfer over smoothly, however, your Preferences will not! I highlight a couple of things to take heed when you first open Photoshop CC.
The new features can be seen in the review from Wednesday. While the addition of Camera Raw as a filter is pretty genius the rest of the features may not be worth the money. You may be better off waiting for the next upgrade. That is a strategy many chose in the past.

Thanks for the overview of the new features in Photoshop CC. I agree that having ACR as a filter is a huge plus. You may recall I was using Photoshop Elements for my HDR Concert submissions because the initial out-of-pocket expense was a bit too much for me for the full package, therefore, the new pricing model was acceptable to me. I was always so impressed with the masking and color channel capabilities in Photoshop that I didn’t have with Elements; I really felt like I was missing out. Not any more. CS6 was pretty great but these new features make CC that much better.
That is awesome! I am glad this worked out for you. I think there will be many more in the same boat. It is us veterans of the software that really lost with that initial investment. In the long run, it may cost more, but it is easier to look at $20 a month than a huge hit up front.
