You got it!  The wife and I decided to have a picnic on the beach yesterday.  It is January, but it definitely does not feel like it in the bay area!  It was about 60 degrees and sunny, while a bit chilly, it still made for a great outing.  Over the last  14 days I have worked 12 of them @ 10-12 hours a piece, I needed a break!  I am so glad someone decided to tag HMB (Half Moon Bay) on the dumpster, we almost forgot where we were!

If you are one with an astute eye, you may be wondering how I was able to get a 5 image exposure while laying in my beautiful wife’s lap.  I don’t know about your camera, but my Olympus will only allow me to either Auto Bracket, or time release my shutter, but not both at the same time.  Wouldn’t it be nice to set your aperture, exposure, brackets, and then place your time release on and walk into the frame for a killer 5 exposure HDR image?  Well, since my Olympus doesn’t have that capability, I looked elsewhere!

This little guy is a kick ass time lapse photography shutter release.  You can set how many images you want it to take, how many seconds apart and for how long.  This solved my problem.  Now I can set my shutter release cable to take 5 images every 14 seconds for the next 5 hours.  This would have come in handy during the lunar eclipse!  For the beach image, I set the camera on the tripod, set the auto bracket, hooked up the shutter release cable, set it to take five images in 14 seconds, I laid down and pressed the start button.  Fourteen seconds later 5 exposures fired and now I have an HDR image! BAM!  That is how it’s done EverydayHDR style!  Go buy one now!
