Well, the journey was crazy, Santa Clara California to Platte City Missouri for a new job. We started in Northern California and for some ungodly reason My GPS took us South through Vegas adding 250 miles to what we should have done… continue North through Reno.  Sometimes those GPS’s can be the worst inventions, they have saved me many times, but this time I was just furious.  So furious I didnt take any pictures through California.  After the first 11 hours awaking in Vegas, I decided to photograph the rest of the trip.  I had seen a video by Trey Ratcliffe where he took 8000 photos and put them together in one string to music with each image moving very fast, it gave me the inspiration for this video here.

I started out shooting the series with no regard to safety as I was shooting in one hand with the wheel in the other.  After about 300 shots and my Father-In-Law (he’s a cop) behind me on the walkie talkie telling me to stop playing with my electronics, I figured it was time to set up the tripod with the shutter release in the passenger’s seat.  That was much safer and much easier.  You can see the bug guts collecting on the windshield over time as well as the crack that magically appeared in my windshield as I passed a truck driver….errrgh!  2523 pictures later and one kick ass song that made the drive so much better, I made the above video.  While it took us 29 hours to get to Platte City, you are seeing it in 4 minutes and 9 seconds!  I hope you enjoy.  The tutorial is coming up this Friday for those that want to know how, using Windows Live Movie Maker.
